Arcanum
Miniature

Arcanum is a miniature, registered as an apricot blend, introduced in 2000. Arcanum is one of Robbie Tucker's introductions. Robbie has had great success in his hybridizing program and has introduced several excellent exhibition varieties, including Miss Flippins and Cachet. Arcanum is another good one. I added this rose to my garden last year, after admiring it for about a year. I have to say that it is one of the two best new varieties in my yard (the other being Bees Knees). I have absolutely loved it. The blooms look like a miniature Lynette, but with even better form. The blooms are a soft cream color with a blended edge of salmon-coral. Almost all of the blooms I saw last year had form ranging from very good to perfect. The foliage is a nice dark glossy green, which is a nice compliment to the soft coloration of the rose. It is a medium sized bush, and appears to be disease resistant.

The only fault I can find with the rose is that it is not a particularly heavy bloomer. I had hoped that after the rose became established, it might improve in this respect. However, I noticed the same complaint voiced in Roses In Review, so I am afraid it may be characteristic of the variety. I don't want to mislead anyone-the rose unusually has a few blooms on it throughout the season. It just isn't one of those that you can go out and cut an entire bouquet off one bush. I have decided to address this relatively minor flaw by adding another bush. Which brings me to one problem involving this rose: I actually don't know where to get it at this time. I checked the Rosemania website and they were sold out. They did not indicate when they expected to have it available again. Other carriers may be located using the FindMyRose website.
