Color Magic
Hybrid Tea

Color Magic is a large flowering Hybrid Tea of 25-30 petals with dark green foliage and an upright growth habit. The ARS Handbook for Selecting Roses lists this rose as a pink blend with a performance rating of 8.0. However, in this region the color is much more of a salmon pink, which is intensified by the sun into a color both stunning and very unique. Color Magic needs winter protection, as it can be a little winter tender.

It was bred in the U.S. in 1978 by William Warriner by crossing the pollen of Spellbinder with an unnamed seedling. Also in 1978, Jackson & Perkins introduced Color Magic to the market and it won the All American Rose Selection Award.

Color Magic can be obtained from local nurseries that carry Jackson & Perkins Roses and through mail order from Edmund's Roses, 6235 SW Kahle Road, Wilsonville, OR 97070, telephone (503) 682-1476 and website www.edmundsroses.com
This is my favorite rose and I highly recommend you have at least one Color Magic your garden.
