Dream Weaver Climbing Floribunda Dream Weaver is a climbing floribunda, registered as an orange pink and was hybridized in the U.S. by Dr. Keith W. Zary and introduced in 1998. Its parentage is “Seedling” x “Lady of the Dawn”. Dream Weaver can grow 12 to 14 feet high and as the branches mature, they cascade outward. The buds open as bright coral pink flowers set in floribunda-like clusters that gradually turn lighter in color. The 3” to 4” blooms are light in fragrance with dark green foliage and blooms all season. Graceful arching canes are easy to train laterally. I grow two in my yard. Dream Weaver has floribunda and shrub rose genes giving it good disease resistance and vigorous growth. Dream Weaver performs best with a regular weekly spraying for fungus. The ARS Handbook for Selecting Roses rates this rose as a 7.9. Dream Weaver can be purchased at Jackson & Perkins and local nurseries. Dream Weaver looks like a romantic old rose. I often cut a vase and have them grace our dinner table adding beauty to the inside as well. Sue Hollinger |
