HOT TAMALE If you are looking for a rose to brighten your day, provide vibrant color in the garden, and bloom continuously, look no further. Hot Tamale is your rose. Hot Tamale, hybridized in 1993 by Keith Zary, is a yellow blend miniature rose which starts out yellow-orange and develops pink tones as it ages. Hot Tamale won the American Rose Society Award of Excellence (AOE) in 1994 and is an excellent exhibition rose. In a Rose Exhibitors' Forum survey of the top exhibition roses in 2001, Hot Tamale ranks # 4 in both single blooms and sprays. But in addition to its success in rose shows, Hot Tamale is a wonderful garden rose and arrangement rose, providing fast repeating blooms over the season, excellent form and rich color. It has between 26-40 petals and reaches a height of 18-22". Hot Tamale is widely available from most miniature mail order nurseries
and locally from Whit Wells of Mid South Roses in Brighton, Tennessee.
Try at least one Hot Tamale; you won't be disappointed! |
