Peggy T
Miniature
This eye-catching miniature can be described as a “single petaled” rose - indicative of a rose with 5-12 petals. Peggy T has 5 bright red petals that fade to pink with a white star in the center and bright yellow stamens. Usually it blooms on single stems, but occasionally produces sprays of 3 or more blooms. Peggy T has no fragrance and grows to the height of 1 ½ - 2 feet. The American Rose Society Handbook rates this rose at 8.5. Bred in the U.S. in 1988, Peggy T’s parentage is Poker Chip x Rise ‘N’ Shine. Benson E. “Gene” King is the hybridizer of this rose as well as many other popular miniatures such as Fancy Pants, Giggles, Tennessee and Barbara Mandrell, to name a few. You won't be surprised to know that this rose usually does very well in rose shows. You can purchase this rose from Michael’s Premiere Roses or Michigan Miniature Roses.
